brighter revealed artmaking workshop

Be part of making art that will travel across the region.

Brighter Revealed, part of the JArts Boston's Hanukkah 2022 celebration, shares the light of the holiday with the Boston community in an illuminated mobile art display. Led by artist Tova Speter, this workshop is one of a series taking place across the region as together we create a large scale beacon that will bring vibrant color to the community.

Back in 2021 the display was part of Chelsea's Menorah Lighting event in Chelsea Square where the combination of light and sound enriched the celebration.

The artmaking in this free workshop is appropriate for adults or youth of at least middle school age. We'll answer this prompt: “What is the source of your inner strength?” Using a selection of design options participants will scratch their symbol onto a transparent square and share their story. No special skills will be necessary. Each of the squares will compiled into the large window frames within the larger finished artwork.

Join us on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at 3 pm. Details coming soon.

This event is presented with JArts Boston in partnership with Temple Emmanuel, Tobin Bridge Chabad, Walnut Street Synagogue and the Chelsea Gateway Project.
